Eagle Construction Wins Gold for Best Ad Campaign

It’s been another great year for the Eagle Construction team. For the second year in a row, Eagle has brought home Gold. Last year year’s Gold award was for “Best Home Gallery” — our 4,000 square foot Design Center in west Broad Village.
This year, we’re pleased to announce that we are the recipients of the Gold Award, for Best Ad Campaign at The Nationals℠ 2013 in Las Vegas for our “Why Settle” ad campaign promoting the advantages of newly built homes.
The “Why Settle” campaign demonstrates why new construction is the preferred choice for homebuyers: “You wouldn’t settle for outdated style or technology in any other purchase, why would you settle with the home you buy?”
The obviously outdated car, fashions, or technology demonstrate how a home built even twenty years ago is outdated in terms of energy efficiency, design, and materials. Where many builders highlight their homes’ features, this campaign highlights the benefits of buying a new construction home.
The “Buy New” campaign ties into a new section of Eagle’s website at http://www.eagleofva.com/buy_new.php. The Nationals℠ is the 32nd Annual Sales and Marketing Awards for the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) that pays tribute to superior sales and marketing achievements by individual professionals, homebuilders and associates, and sales and marketing councils.

A diverse panel of industry professionals from across the country selected Gold award winners from more than 700 entries. Strategic Brand Manager Phillip Glaeser and Creative Directer Maggie Miller led the Eagle team in conceptualizing and executing this series of award-winning ads.
Competitors within the category were from Toronto, Canada, Ashburn, Virginia, Southern California and Los Angeles, CA. As Jeff Kornblau says, “Gold is the new standard at Eagle”.

The Eagle Classic is just around the corner, and we want this year to be a bigger success and more fun than ever. We hope you can join us!
A limited number of complimentary tickets are still available, so come out and enjoy the fun and excitement of this year’s Eagle Classic golf tournament August 17 – 19. You can pick up tickets at Eagle Construction’s seven area model homes (locations can be found at Golf.EagleofVA.com).
For the fifth year of the Eagle Classic, more than 144 professional golfers from throughout the United States and 36 countries will travel to Richmond Country Club to compete for the $100,000.00 purse and for a card to play in the LPGA.
The Eagle Classic, the only professional golf event in Richmond, is the 14th stop on this year’s LPGA Futures Tour. Held August 17 – 19 at Richmond Country Club, it will be 3 days of all the professional golf you’ve been waiting to see!
We’re proud that this year’s charity partner is FeedMore, the umbrella organization of the Central Virginia Food Bank, Meals on Wheels Serving Central Virginia, and the Community Kitchen. FeedMore provides comprehensive hunger relief to our most vulnerable neighbors across 31 counties and five cities in Central Virginia.
You’ll find events for the entire family during the exciting tournament on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. A highlight is Military Appreciation Day, when wounded warriors come for golf lessons from the pros and all military personnel and their families are admitted free of charge.
The pro tournament starts at 7:15 Friday morning with the first round, and wraps up with final rounds on Sunday. So come on out and enjoy a terrific weekend of golf, featuring some of the best up-and-coming stars of the golfing world. Enjoy the beautiful scenery of Richmond Country Club on Patterson Ave/Route 6, just west of 288.
